We’re proud to announce that Sophos was named Security Vendor of the Year at the CRN channel awards ceremony for the DACH region, in Bad Wiessee, Germany. In addition, Bernhard Oertel, Sophos Territory Manager, won recognition as the Channel Champion of the Year 2013.
The recent awards, handed out 13th November at the ITK Spitzentreffen (“ICT Summit”), add to our already impressive list of channel awards this year. Sophos was also named Security Vendor of the Year at the CRN Awards in London.
The Channel Champion of the Year Award garnered by Bernhard was based on an online poll of more than 18,000 voters on CRN.de. Accepting the Security Vendor of the Year Award was Ralf Haubrich, Vice President, Sophos CEEMEA (pictured above).

Sophos Partners in the DACH region recently contributed to several successful Anatomy of an Attack events in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
And our Partner Program continues to rack up the awards this year. In August, we received CRN’s highest honors in the 2013 Annual Report Card for product innovation in the Network Security Appliances category for Sophos UTM. We were once again listed to CRN’s 2013 Partner Program Guide and awarded a 5-Star Partner rating.
We continue to make strides with our Channel First strategy. Over the last 12 months, we’ve created a more flexible and generous Partner Program, providing partners with protection for deal registrations, attractive margins and joint lead generation initiatives.
