Version 10.3 of our Endpoint Security client for Windows is coming soon! Starting in October, client computers will upgrade automatically from 10.2 to 10.3 for customers subscribed to our “recommended” releases in Sophos Enterprise Console. For more information about the automatic upgrades, see this knowledgebase article.
Version 10.3 adds support for the Sophos Client Firewall on Windows 8 workstations. It also includes an updated threat engine and fixes for several issues. More information can be found in the release notes.
In accordance with our product lifecycle policy, we are also retiring version 9.5 of Endpoint Security. For customers with standalone installations of version 9.5 (not managed by Sophos Enterprise Console), systems will automatically update to version 10.2 on August 21. A reboot will be required for the update to take effect, but systems will be protected with the old version until the reboot takes place.
